Movie Summary  Movie: The Legend Of The Dinosaurs:  A Sandy Frank production which involves the following: severe snow storms in the middle of summer on the island of Hokkaido, a petrified dinosaur egg, a screaming young female hiker, a bunch of lumberjacks, an ice wall, and a snazzy dressed geologist dressed in a polka-dot shirt. Our little tale begins shortly after a geologist (dubbed by Robotech's Greg Snegoff) learns of the severe snowstorms on the island of Hokkaido and the discovery of a petrified egg nearby. His father, you see, was also an obsessed petrified dinosaur egg geologist and had even discovered a petrified dinosaur egg before his death, but his radical theory about dinosaur hibernation was summarily rejected, partly because it wasn't double-spaced and partly because it was feared that it might throw the world into a panic. Like obsessed geologist father, like obsessed geologist son. The young obsessed geologist sets off to vindicate his father and it is not long before the evidence he needs is swimming around in Lake Sai as a Japanese Loch Ness and terrorizing the locals at the annual Dragon Festival that features perhaps the worst country and eastern band ever. Blood and extreme bad dubbing quickly follow... The latter half of the film focuses on a couple of divers who enter the lake just before depth charges are thrown into the lake. They go through hell to get out of danger, and in the end, you end up not caring. Meanwhile, in an ice cave within Mt. Fuji, a pterodactyl is about to hatch from yet another egg and throw the region into further chaos.
