Movie Summary  Movie: Superdome:  At its best, this is a 1978 television movie that finally had the moral backbone to expose the long-time veiled mob syndicate institution of wagering on a predetermined Super bowl game. At its worst, this is a 1978 television movie. Buried deep within the many shots of football characters with half-open butterfly collared shirts, we are introduced to the lovely Donna Mills, who arrives at a local catfish restaurant and forces herself onto the general manager (David Janssen) of the Cougars who are set to play in the upcoming Super bowl against the Rangers with the now classic lunch interrupting line: "Excuse me. I hate to interrupt your lunch, but I'm a bit of a mess. My rent-a-car threw a rod, the telephone in there seems to eat nickels for lunch, and I'm supposed to have been in New Orleans an hour ago." Meanwhile, former Cougars star receiver and current soul brother extraordinaire; P.K. Jackson arrives in town because some "guys in N.Y." have ten million dollars riding on his sabotage. Somewhere in all of this is another plot of an agent ordered to negotiate and contract the Cougars quarterback (Tom Selleck). When he is unable to, his daughter takes over, charms Tom, drinks spiked Ginger Ale, is rushed to the hospital, and almost dies. Tom feels badly, so he tells her dad to give him a call - success! But wait, the Cougars have another quarterback, Dave, who is having marital problems. His wife decides the remedy is to get drunk and then sleep with a randomly selected man who is not Dave...and it works! And Donna Mills is on a killing spree! Wow!
