Movie Summary

 Movie: Humanoid Woman:

"Humanoid Woman" is the story of an eerie space probe destroyed in the outer reaches of space that has one incredible survivor - a beautiful humanoid woman. She is human in every way except one - some unseen force is controlling her brain. The movie starts with a couple of Russian cosmonauts coming across a ransacked alien laboratory in space. In a "weightless" sequence that was obviously filmed under water, the cosmonauts find a still living alien that looks like Sinéad O'Connor. Following the strict regulations of the RKA (Russian Space Agency), the head cosmonaut exploits the "finder's-keeper's" policy and takes her home for studying. Over the course of the next few weeks, the cosmonaut teaches the alien English and tries to help her get her memory back, the Frugal Gourmet stops by, the alien performs acrobatics in a field of marigolds, some harpsichord music plays, and a thunderstorm frightens the alien. Yes, there is non-stop action in this moving picture!

Soon, the alien's memory returns and she oddly exclaims, "The telephone is ringing. I will have to go back immediately." She boards the next ship home and the real fun ensues. Along for the ride are some wise, old guys who look like goats, circus midgets who want to rule the planet, and a big moving pile of raw sewage.

Reflections

This is a Sandy Frank production. Sandy Frank productions, as far as we can tell, are always crappy foreign movies, are dubbed very badly, and then released on an unsuspecting audience here in the States. "Humanoid Woman," we are sorry to say, is one of these movies.
