Movie Summary  Movie: Cosmic Princess:  The premise for "Cosmic Princess" is as preposterous as they come, but it goes something like this: The moon is blown away from Earth's orbit by massively cheesy special effects and cast adrift in deep space. It is displaced further into the unknown by two space warps and into the range of the volcanic planet Psychon, where the crew of Moonbase Alpha hope to obtain a mineral needed for their survival. But they are lured into a trap by Mentor of Psychon, who wants to drain their souls into a machine for energy needed to transform Psychon back to the paradise it once was. Mentor's daughter, Maya, who has the ability of personal molecular transformation through bad 70's style scene cutting, realizes how fanatical her father has become and helps the Alphans to stop her father. But in the struggle, Mentor's machine's power is released, triggering a series of even more cheesy special effects that cause cataclysm on Psychon and fevered distress in grief-stricken Maya. Soon after, Maya undergoes some strange disease that causes her to transform into what looks like a giant mop monster. Lots of bodies flying, slow motion body slams, mindless action, groovy 70's space clothing, and really bad studio space sets still cannot save this film! Even a less wrinkly Martin Landau is unable to produce any enjoyment from this one.
